About Us
The Cryptonix Projects main goal is to ensure the worlds connectivity stays open and free, and this can be accomplished by creating new services, expanding networks such as Tor and I2P. Telling your friends about services that undermine the surveillance state, such as Signal or the Tor Network. Seeding files and torrents where possible in order to ensure data like SciHub cannot be simply removed from a website and be lost to the ether. As well as expanding existing services such as IRC, Forums, Alternative Social Media etc.
WHAT WE ARE NOT: While some may eventually consider us a hacking group, which by the original definition, and original tropes, we are. In the sense that we are explorers of technologies, we find tricks, to make technology work in ways it was not originally designed to. Having admitted to the crime of curiosity...we make it clear, we are not Anonymous, Lulzsec, Shadowbrokers, Lapus$, AlphaV/BlackCat - or any "black hat" hacker group. We have no intentions to DDOS websites, break into corporations or governments, nor ransoming hospitals and companies with malware. Though we will not hesitate to expose corruption via sharing documents and censored content should any member utilizing our name, logos, or infrastructure choose to do so. We are an inversion akin to the idea of the war on terror, or war on drugs. You cannot get rid of it, you cannot remove it with a judge of the legal system, you cannot remove it with the use of force or psychological operations. It will perpetuate and exist continuously. Giving those organizations, political and entrepreneurial, an enemy they cannot eliminate or silence.
HOW TO BECOME INVOLVED: Simply join our IRC, our Element, our Forums. Modify and add to the wiki, put up a flier, print a zine, follow us on Mastodon. Blog about us, blog about new software, blog about yourself, toot or tweet about something important in your small town, put up a new server expanding free and open source software or create your own, add to the tor or the i2p network. Use our name, or create a new one. Connect and partner with us. There is no formal process for registration, or signup. Simply say you are with this project, and you are a part of the project.
